FREE Walking Groups
A great way to meet new people, explore your area, improve health, and it’s free!
Our weekly walks programmes:
There are two Walk & Talk groups within Tamar Valley National Landscape.
These groups are of a ‘medium ability’ level, many walks being quite energetic and lasting typically 2 hours over varying terrain.
There is also a Wellbeing Walks group, part of the Ramblers Wellbeing Walks programme – these walks typically last between 75 minutes and 2 hours.

Please note, there are other groups arranging walks in the area which are well worth checking out, including:
Gunnislake Community Matters – a monthly Saturday walk
Tavistock Wellbeing Walks – a short, easy walk every Tuesday in Tavistock
Walk & Laugh with the Sensory Trust – dementia friendly walks & activities on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Launceston, Callington and Tavistock areas. The Sensory Trust may be able to arrange transport.

Liskeard Viaduct
Meet at 10.30am at Rapson’s car park, Heathlands Road, Liskeard, PL14 4DJ
w3w loved.situation.smoothly . Parking £1.70 cash or card.
Lane and foot path to Coombe Valley and Moorswater Viaduct, then fields and lane to Junction Halt station and return.
General note:
- If amber weather warnings are in place, all walks are cancelled
- Walk leaders reserve the right to alter or cancel a walk, if conditions are not suitable

Tavistock Wellbeing Walks - weekly, short walks
Published The Tavistock Wellbeing Walks Group invites you to join them on a Tuesday Morning at The Wharf in Tavistock at 10.30 for a friendly and inclusive short walk. The walks vary week to week but are always a maximum of about 1.5 miles on fairly flat easy terrain and at an easy pace. Walkers always go to the Wharf afterwards for coffee and cake and all are welcome! They are always keen to welcome new walkers.
