Management Plan 6
Over the next five years, working in partnership with communities, investors, landowners and stakeholders, the National Landscape Partnership aims to:
Restore Nature
Significantly increase Climate resilience
Support communities to adapt and thrive in a changing world


This is the 6th Management Plan for the Tamar Valley since designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1995.
Since then, more than £16m has been invested in the area, through more than 340 projects that aimed to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the Tamar Valley, including Nature, landscape character, heritage and culture.
The 2nd draft will be published here early August and there will be an opportunity to review below.
Management Plan No.6 and Appendices.
It is a statutory requirement for a National Landscape to produce a management plan every 5 years for review.
This 2nd consultation draft follows engagement with the public and partners during 2024m along with the 2024 State of the Landscape report.
A final draft will be presented to local authorities for adoption by the end of 2025.
