FREE Walking Groups
A great way to meet new people, explore your area, improve health, and it’s free!
There are two Walk & Talk groups within Tamar Valley National Landscape.
These groups are of a ‘medium ability’ level, many walks being quite energetic and lasting typically 2 hours over varying terrain.
There is also a Wellbeing Walks group, part of the Ramblers Wellbeing Walks programme – these walks typically last between 75 minutes and 2 hours.
CHANGES TO SCHEDULED WALKS
There are currently no changes to our weekly walks programmes.
Please note:
- If amber weather warnings are in place, all walks are cancelled that day
- Walk leaders reserve the right to alter or cancel a walk, if conditions are not suitable
The current programmes for all three groups are available to download below:

Be prepared
- All walkers participate at their own risk, therefore it is your responsibility to be fully prepared for the walk.
- Be aware that routes may be muddy and conditions can change so wear appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing. A walking stick is useful too.
- Also consider bringing a drink and snack, should you require it, particularly for longer walks.
- Toilet facilities may not be available.
- All walks may be subject to change/cancelled.
- Need more inspiration? Tamar Valley and Saltash walker Juliette has written a short article on Walk & Talk; we’ve published it on our blog here.
